Schola Cantorum Singapore Choral Scholar Programme

The by-invitation Schola Cantorum Singapore (SCS) Choral Scholar Programme offers promising young singers, teenagers, the opportunity to develop their voices, musicianship and choral skills alongside highly experienced adult singers. Through rehearsals, performances and recordings, scholars gain valuable experience and access to selected solo opportunities.

Sophia Kate TAN is SCS’s choral scholar and the featured soloist on Schola Cantorum Singapore’s recording of the Qixi Festival theme song 与七七许星愿 Wish Upon the Stars with Qiqi (2024 Version). Since the Qixi Fest’s inauguration, her voice has been heard by the close to 100,000 participants since the festival’s inaugural edition.
